It’s Going To Be A Klingon Party With Martok And Gowron This Weekend At BayouCon

Actually, do Klingons ever party? I suppose revelry and astonishing tales around a bonfire count…as long as blood wine is involved. Speaking of partying Klingons, two of the most raucous will be appearing this weekend at BayouCon in Lake Charles, Louisiana. JG Hertzler (Martok) and Robert O’Reilly (Gowron) will be speaking on panels, signing autographs, posing for photos and mingling with guests at the Klingon Breakfast. Oh, and did we mention that they will be appearing in full Klingon costume during some of the convention? How could it not be awesome?!

Lake Charles, Louisiana is a hotbed of activity for Star Trek and scifi fans alike. We've told you about BayouCon recently and even live blogged from the event last year. Oh, and we'll have some exciting news about BayouCon in the coming days. This weekend though, Subspace Communique friend, Star Trek author and fount of knowledge Larry Nemecek will be headlining another event in Lake Charles called CyphaCon.

As you all know, First Contact Day celebrations we're held by Trek fans all over the world on April 5th. Yes, we were to busy celebrating to write anything, but let's just say we did the Z-man proud. Our good friend Larry Nemecek did one better than just report about First Contact day, he went out and found the possible future warp engineer in Bozeman, Montana.

We’re pleased to announce episode 19 of our “Life After Trek” podcast, the Geek Nation Tours Special, featuring Larry Nemecek & Teras Cassidy. Larry & Teras sit down with us to talk about their upcoming Geek Nation Tours project "Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood To Vegas With Larry Nemecek". Born from a meeting at Vegas Khhaaan! 2011, Larry & Teras have partnered to offer a tour just prior to, and including, Vegas. In this tour Larry will guide the group around tons of Star Trek related sites located in Southern California. Some of the sites they will be visiting are the gardens used as Starfleet Academy, Paramount Studios, the site of the Kirk vs. Gorn battle (with a visit from the “Gorn himself”, Bobby Clark), and many many more. Trekland Ira Seven Behr Interview Finale Released

Our good friend and Trek author / historian extraordinaire, Larry Nemecek, just released the final video in his interview series with Ira Steven Behr. As you all know, Ira was the showrunner & executive producer for much of Deep Space Nine's 7 season run. Larry recorded the interview last year and slowly released it in a 4 part series on Youtube. Throughout the interview Larry & Ira discuss his time working on Syfy's Alphas, The 4400, and of course his time in TNG & Deep Space Nine.

Larry Nemecek's "The Con of Wrath" Documentary Update & Fundraising Special With Extra SWAG

Star Trek historian, author, & friend of Subspace Communique, Larry Nemecek, is still in the process of traveling all over the country and gathering interviews for his upcoming film The Con of Wrath. In fact, he just recently finished interviews with Kerry O'Quinn (father of Starlog Magazine & more), his old pal Eric Stillwell (TNG writer & Star Trek fiction author), & Kett Kettering. Both Eric & Kett were Con of Wrath attendees, or survivors as some may call it, and Kerry was the talkshow host / emcee for the convention.
