Star Trek Collectibles
The fine folks at Quantam Mechanix just released a bevy of new Star Trek Into Darkness screen authentic replicas. In fact, if you've seen Into Darkness, then you've also seen the new replicas. QMx worked closely with Paramount and Bad Robot to provide the screen used phasers, newly designed Starfleet Academy class ring, uniform badges, and the History of Starflight model collection seen in Admiral Marcus' office. Anyone else see Peter Weller walk past the NX-01? I nearly shouted in the movie theater.
That’s right you guys, the old girl is struttin’ her stuff in this gorgeous new poster by artist Mark Brayer, and published by Bye Bye, Robot. U.S.S. Enterprise is the second poster in Brayer’s vintage ships series for Bye Bye, Robot. Brayer’s love of book cover art from the mid to late 1900s is the basis for the retro design of this new ship’s portrait poster.
Hi-ya folks. Gather up around the fireplace and I’ll tell you a story about a young augment, tyranny and the repercussions from a giant ego through space and time. No I’m not talking about Lady Gaga; I’m talking about Khan, of course.
Look out Khan! We’ve got your ship! …and now you, at home, can have it too. We’re very pleased to announce Bye Bye Robot’s newest officially licensed Star Trek poster release, “SS Botany Bay” by illustrator Mark Brayer.
Subspace Communique’s sister site, Bye Bye, Robot announces FREE SHIPPING on orders of 2 or more posters. In honor of Cyber Monday this sale starts NOW (noon Sunday the 25th), and runs through Monday. Act fast to take advantage of the free shipping.
Bye Bye Robot Launches Officially Licensed Star Trek "Enterprise Shuttle Service" Poster & Sticker Pack
Subspace Communique's sister-site Bye Bye Robot, purveyor of fine art from the future, just launched a brand new poster and sticker pack designed and illustrated by famed artist Steve Thomas. Many of you know Steve from his other illustrative work including licensed popular Star Wars and video game posters. The new artwork features the iconic shuttlecraft Galileo from TOS in die cut vinyl sticker form and a 1930's style WPA poster beckoning Federation tourists to Cestus III and calling cadets to join the Shuttle Crew Service.
A great idea if you don’t know what to give your fellow Star Trek fan would be to get him/her a collector’s box of playing cards!
This box looks really cool with the text “Beam me up” written all over it. This tin box is also marked up with good old Kirk and the cards are all marked up with images from the original series. This deck is available through neatoshop.com.CONTINUE READING >>
This is in the “way too cool” category! We just heard about a Hollywood Prop auction July 30th and 31st that is going to include, among tons of other stuff, Mr. Spock’s Ears from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and an original production dialogue script/screenplay of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It’s the Hollywood Auction Extravaganza II, put on by Premiere Props of Los Angeles. All of the Star Trek items look like they are being sold on the 30th and just like the last auction we told you about, you can bid online or by phone if you aren’t in the Los Angeles area.CONTINUE READING >>
There's almost 2 days left to bid on a Vintage 1978 Original Star Trek Pinball Machine from an Austin TX auction house, and as of the release of this article the high bid is only $250. We heard about this one recently and you better believe that if we had a place to put it in our house we wouldn't be telling you about this, but since we are packed to the nacelles here we're letting you in on the opportunity. This particular auction house accepts online bids (as well as in person bidding). That way you don't have to live anywhere near Austin to win this item. They are even willing to help with the shipping coordination, you just have to spring for the cost. From their description and pictures, it looks like the pinball machine is in pretty good condition and even has it's original manuals...however with an "as is" tag we can't tell if it's actually in operating order.
Even if you aren't in the market for a pinball machine of your very own it's still pretty cool to look at. They have quite a few pictures online and quite a bit of detailed information.
If you end up buying this pinball machine let us know. We'd love to post pictures of you at play.
Good luck...and let the bidding begin!CONTINUE READING >>
