The Shat is everywhere, man! He seems to be more popular in his 80th decade than ever before. From starting in two new television series this year alone to appearing at almost every convention this side of Ceti Alpha V (This IS CETI ALPHA V!), The Shat is a hot commodity. In preparation for his upcoming appearance at the Chicago Comic-con, Bill sat down for a phone interview with the Chicago Sun-Times to discuss his new show as well as his convention appearance.
William Shatner is no stranger to drawing fire, heck he usually does a quick ground roll and easily fires back. Now, his upcoming show is drawing it's own fire from The Parents Television Council over the title "Bleep My Dad Says". According to an article written for the Yahoo TV Blog, The Council is asking major advertisers to not buy ad slots on the upcoming sitcom.
"Parents really do care about profanity when their kids are watching TV," said PTC President Tim Winter. "All parents? No, but something like 80 or 90 percent of parents. Putting an expletive in the title of a show is crossing new territory, and we can't allow that to happen on our watch."
William Shatner, man about town, is hosting a brand new show, his second, for the BIO channel that we originally reported on back in May. It appears that "Aftermath" is set to premiere on August 2nd at 10PM ET/ 9PM CT/ 11PM PT. The new show takes Viewers back to the dramatic events that dominated the american news cycle as Shatner gains exclusive access to the news makers at the Heart of each story.
"Free Enterprise 2", the long awaited indie film sequel to it's aptly named prequel is actually getting made. In the process for 10 years or so now, director Robert Meyer Burnett has been given the go-ahead and it appears William "The Shat" Shatner has confirmed it at Trek Expo 2010.
"Free Enterprise…remember the film? Well we are doing a sequel, Free Enterprise 2. So they have got me involved in some fun stuff. And I will be shooting that in the next month or so." Shatner Said to an extremely excited crowd.
If you haven't seen the original "Free Enterprise", check out the synopsis below.
William "The Shat" Shatner is full of awesomesuce, as we all know, and is really the king of all media. From directing, producing, starring, "singing", and even entrepreneuring his way across the galaxy, The Shat is now making his way where no man has gone before, again. This time, Bill is ready to direct a documentary about himself starring himself. Wait, wouldn't that rip a hole in the fabric of something or other?
Our good friend (as if we know him) William Shatner is known for his halting... way of... speaking and his quirky spoken word albums. Oh, and the whole Star Trek thing. With two albums in print, Apparently The Shat is trying to put together a set of songs for a third, but this time he's pulling out all the stops. According to a twitter post, Bill has recently gone into a recording studio and laid down a track covering Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody".
One of our favorite automotive blogs, Jalopnik, compiled a top ten list of favorite automobiles from the Rocketman himself William Shatner. Apparently The Shat revealed this list over a short period of time through his Twitter account. The fine folks over at Jalopnik not only gave us the list, but also gave us insight into what each pick reveals about our kindly Captain.
The list includes the obligatory Ferrari Enzo and Dodge Viper, but also includes a few picks that are synonymous with gearheads. Check out a snipit below to see The Shat favs.

William Shatner has been nominated to be the 28th Governor General of Canada. Not only is he an intergalactic hero but The Shat hails from the great white north and would be a perfect candidate for the mostly ceremonial title. He also appears to be leading in the polls, beating out Wayne Gretzky and a full list of other famous Canadians. Heck, you can even place your vote for the next Governor General here.
